We had our informal beginnings in June 1998. The then St.Mary’s JSO Church under the leadership of it’s Vicar Rev. Fr. M.U.Paulose set out to fulfill the Church’s obligation to society in general. Since the St. Mary’s Public School was already a well known institution, it was decided to partly make use of it’s infrastructure for the good of children with special needs.
We became a formally registered Trust during January 2004. His Grace Thomas Mor Themotheos, then Bishop of the Outside Kerala Diocese of the Jacobite Syrian Church, presided over the Trust’s first meeting. The School gradually established itself with the support of the members of the parish and liberal donations from the general public. The Rotary Club of Bangalore East gifted the School with a minibus to take care of the transportation needs of the children.
Organic growth over the years resulted in space constraints and the School was able to move into a more spacious accommodation in August 2013 very close to its original location. The School is now registered with the Directorate for Disabled and Senior Citizens under the Department of Women and Child Development, Government of Karnataka.
